Against the gravity
Buda speaks! Who's Buda? Well, he's the lead singer of Slovenia's hottest import band Elvis Jackson and after a couple of live shows at festivals the band got signed by the German label Antstreet to surf Europe and the band received a amazing feedback b the whole Punk- and Rock-scene, so let's rumble. Autona: You released the current album in Germany and Europe. What are the expectations?
Buda: In the first place we are expecting to be accepted among listeners and to receive a positive response. Our producer Bill Gould (Faith No More) made our album possible to be rivalry to the other big bands in music business. Within our current project "Against the gravity" the whole team is very satisfied. We are self-confident and we believe that in the music scene there's enough space also for Elvis Jackson.
Autona: You shared the stage with Faith No More, how did it feel to be able to party with musical idols?
Buda: It is like a dream come true. At our young age, we were following them everywhere, TV, magazines, posters, radio, CD's etc. They are also very nice and simple guys. We had such a great time together on stage and in backstage. But we won't tell you everything (laughing). Let’s hope we can soon repeat this experience on their next tour.
Autona: You already played some great festivals in Germany? What do you have in progress for 2010? Festivals and a club tour right in the beginning?
Buda: Our wish is in compare to the last year make more of this success festivals and clubs. We like Germany because of the crazy audience. We try to speak German on stage but everything we know is like "prost" and this songs is about "kiffen", expect our drummer who speaks German "klar und deutlich". We had a short tour with Itchy Poopkidz already from 14th to 18th December in Germany. Visit our web site www.elvisjackson.com and check for new & announced concert dates. Autona: If I take a look at your band pictures you've got shots made underwater in the pool etc. Do you guys practice dangerous and extreme sports that fits to your music?
Buda (laughing): Not really, but our show are like extreme sports. We swim, we jump, we make athletics and a lot of crazy stuff. Visit our shows and when are you one of the boring audience please stay in the last row. Autona: A German record deal is the next step in your career. What plans do you have in progress for the step after? Buda: One day our guitarist Berto said "We gonna “die” on stage". And this is it what are the plans in progress. We will give our best and hope to be seen and respected. Music is our life.
